I used to hate landscape. Now I find that when I get frustrated sitting in front of the computer wondering what I am not accomplishing, or not having shot anything for a few days, there are few things that help me focus and get out of my own head better than going out and finding scenes, almost always man made in some way, that make me consider our place on this planet and what we do with it. I can breathe, think, react slowly or not at all, as I rarely can with most of the work I do. Consider the angle, the light, all of it, and wait forever if needs be to push the shutter.
Not sure if the shots will go anywhere, or if they need to, but it is therapy in a wonderful, wandering, quiet sort of way.
