Back in 2005, scary to think about really, me and a friend were “invited” to the filming of the “Do You Want To” video of Franz Ferdinand.
Never had really been a fan but I was new to NYC and trying to make my way as a professional photographer so I went and acted like I was supposed to be there doing my thing.
In all honesty, the photos turned out pretty good even though I had very little idea of what I was doing and kept expecting to get thrown out at any minute, but there were so many people involved in the production, no one knew who was “supposed” to be there and what the parameters were. We stayed for a while, I shot a bunch of photos and one ended up in Spin which made me feel like perhaps I had a chance. That remains to be seen but I had forgotten about the photos until yesterday when i went back and edited them down and reprocessed the ones I liked.
