So I got the call to photograph Vanessa Woods for the Science section of the New York Times. She recently published a book on her research on bonobos in the Congo that she conducted with her husband, Brain Hare.

After 14 years of using Poligrip denture cream to keep his teeth in place, Johnny Howell became disabled due to nerve damage from high zinc levels that may have been caused by the cream. His nerve damage is so severe that Mr. Howell had to quit his job as a mechanic [...] Spent a day wandering the uptown area of Charlotte, NC taking in a the new museum boom and other additions to the neighborhood.
