Northside is known as a traditionally African-American [...] I first met Dick Reavis in Mexico City while I was there covering the 2006 presidential elections. He was still working for Texas Monthly then and one of my photos ended up illustrating the story he wrote for them on the battle between Obrador and Calderon.
