It has been interesting shooting photos on the phone, like everyone else theses days, but occasionally I get something I never thought I had, a surprise of [...] A couple of my photos were featured a few days ago on the IndieNC blog. It seems like a great resource for local happenings and a big thanks to Michelle Smith for the opportunity. Several hundred members of the 30th Brigade Heavy Combat Team of the North Carolina National Guard left for Iraq last night. About 4000 members will be heading over in the next week or so for a 12 month tour. Been following these men and women for a while now as they prepared to go, [...] After traveling to Charlotte, NC on Friday, with my esteemed colleague Derek Anderson, I was honored to receive 4 awards from the North Carolina Press Photographers Association.. I got 2nd place in News Feature Story, for my ongoing “War At Home” series, 2nd and 3rd places in Sports Feature Story, for my story on the [...] I have been looking at the newish online magazine that profiles photographers called Feature Shoot. When I was in DC, see previous post, I got an email saying they would like to show some of my work from the “War at Home” series I have been working on that looks at the effects of the [...] I have just added 2 new stories to my website.
